Collecting Photographs:
What's it all About?


Addison Woolley Gallery, along with co-hosts, Maine Media Workshops, photographer Jack Montgomery, Vox Photographs, Domaine Gallery and the Pepper Club, is holding a lecture and discussion of collecting photographs on Thursday, September 11th, 2008 from 5:30 - 7:30 at Addison Woolley.

The evening will include a reception for guest speakers, Stephen Perloff, publisher of The Photo Review in Philadelphia and Susan Danly, Curator of Graphics, Photography and Contemporary Art at the Portland Museum of Art. The speakers will discuss collecting in terms of the aesthetic, the historical, value and more. Perloff will address why individuals collect photographs and Danly will address why museums collect and display photographs.

$12.00 admission per guest. Seating is limited.
